I offer psychotherapy in English. As a licensed psychological psychotherapist, I offer therapies for adults who suffer from various psychological disorders and problems, for example:
- Insomnia
- Depression
- Anxiety and panic disorders
- Phobias
- Social anxiety
- Stress management
- Posttraumatic stress disorder
- Adjustment disorders
- Obessive-compulsive disorder
- Hoarding disorder
- Grief
- Personality disorders
- Burnout, life crises
- Procrastination
- Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
- Financial worries
- Behavioral addictions (non-substance-related disorders)
I use a wide range of methods and approaches which have proven to be particularly effective in scientific studies:
- Cognitive behavioral therapy: Recognizing negative effects of dysfunctional thoughts on emotions, body, and behavior to change thought patterns.
- Schema therapy: Finding ways to sustainably satisfy basic psychological needs.
- Psychoeducation: Understanding the causes of psychological disorders to bring about fundamental positive changes.
- Hypnotherapeutic methods: Use inner images as sources of strength.
- Mindfulness techniques: Consciously perceive in the here and now.
- Relaxation techniques: Active relaxation through progressive muscle relaxation, autogenic training, and breathing exercises.
Important points of orientation for the therapy process are:
- How your current problems have arisen in recent months and years,
- what perpetuates these problems,
- what options for action and solutions there are for you and
- how these can be anchored in your everyday life.
As a school psychologist, I also have a broad knowledge of the psychology and disorders of childhood and adolescence (e.g. autism spectrum disorder, dyslexia and dyscalculia, mutism, attention problems, bullying, giftedness).
The roots of psychological problems can go back to childhood and adolescence. Therefore, it is important to me to reflect with you on your personal development in connection with some of your early experiences and life events.

Treatment
I work exclusively with private patients and self-paying patients. Due to the high organizational hurdles, I currently do not offer psychotherapy as part of cost reimbursement (statutory health insurance).
In the psychotherapeutic consultation appointments, we first clarify your concerns and which therapeutic treatment approaches could be used in your psychotherapy.
In the two next appointments (probationary sessions) we get to know each other better and plan your therapy. We analyze possible causes of the problems, discuss your therapy goals, and jointly develop an individual therapy tailored to your needs.
If you decide to do therapy in my practice, most health insurance companies require you to send an application.
After approval of the costs by the health insurance company, the therapy sessions (50 minutes) usually take place once a week. In my practice, I offer short-term therapies, with a maximum of 24 sessions, and long-term therapies, with a maximum of 60 sessions.
Fees for patients with private health insurance
Fees are based on the „Gebührenordnung für Psychotherapeuten“ (GOP). Depending on the insurance contract, insurance companies sometimes cover only part of the costs. In such cases, an additional payment by the patient is necessary.
If you want to find out in advance which psychotherapeutic services are covered by your personal contract, it is best to talk to your private health insurance company. Here you will find a checklist with relevant questions.
Fees for self-payers
The same costs as for private patients are incurred. There is no effort due to clarification of insurance formalities.
