My research and practical work lie at the interface of psychology, education, and psychotherapy. In my work as a practitioner, I aim to facilitate transfer from research into practice, providing for parents, teachers, and patients the best possible evidence-based advice.
My current research as a doctoral student in educational psychology at Free University Berlin focuses on how learning environments affect cognitive development in early childhood. I am particularly interested in the effects of shared reading practices and interventions on language and reading development.
I am a school psychologist at the School Psychology and Inclusion Pedagogy Counselling Centre Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf and a clinical psychologist at the Clinic for Sleep and Chronomedicine, St. Hedwig hospital, Berlin. Before taking up these positions I was a predoctoral research scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin.
